The force has become strong with The Mandalorian Season 3. According to the on-screen Moff Gideon, Giancarlo Esposito, we may get the third season in mid-2022. However, he didn’t know about its exact release window. There is no doubt that fans are craving to witness the adventures of bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and Grogu in the upcoming Mando instalment.
Esposito recently appeared on The Rich Eisen Show to promote the final season of the Breaking Bad spin-off, Better Call Saul. He will play the infamous and dangerous narcotics distributor and a proud owner of Los Pollos Hermanos, a chain of fried chicken restaurants, Gustavo “Gus” Fring, in the forthcoming season. When asked about Mando Season 3 release date, he said:
“You’ll get it soon. You’ll get it soon. I got a little few things to do in regards to that, to put some finishing touches on what I do, but I believe it will be sometime this summer. No date set yet, but coming soon.”
It looks like this year’s summer season belongs to the Star Wars fanbase. Both Lucasfilm and Disney are busy promoting the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series these days with Ewan McGregor returning as the legendary Jedi master who survived Palpatine’s notorious Order 66. The highly-anticipated show will arrive on May 27th. Apart from McGregor, we have Hayden Christensen’s Darth Vader in the series. Plus, the guys responsible for creating The Mandalorian, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, are a part of a panel named ‘Mando+: A Conversation with Jon Favreau & Dave Filoni’ at the Star Wars Celebration convention on May 28th. They both will be seen sharing their experiences while filming the show and discussing its future on the panel.
Furthermore, Pascal has guaranteed that “some familiar faces and a lot of new faces” will emerge in The Mandalorian Season 3 in an interview with Neelix Magazine. The third season may hit the Disney+ streaming service later this year.
