Films that tell the stories of police officers and their investigations have a very high place in our favourite films and the genre has a huge fan base as well. Here is a short list of films that deal with some police officers and their complicated cases.
Mayavan (2017) – Disney+Hotstar:
‘Mayavan’ is written and directed by C.V Kumar and tells the story of a police officer who tries to get hold of a mysterious serial killer who is killing one after another victim. But the patterns reveal a very dangerous pattern that frightens everybody. The science fiction thriller stars actors like Sundeep Kishan, Lavanya Tripathi, Jackie Shroff, Daniel Balaji and Mime Gopi. The music is given by Ghibran and it is a very entertaining movie to watch.
Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru (2016) – MX Player:
‘Dhuruvangal Pathinaaru’ is directed by the filmmaker Karthick Naren and stars actors like Rahman, Prakash Vijayaraghavan and Ashwin Kumar. It tells the story of a police officer who investigates the mysterious murder of a couple and has to face harsh situations during the investigation. The music is given by Jakes Bejoy and the cinematography is handled by Sujith Sarang. Do not miss the movie if you are a fan of thrillers.
7th Day (2014) – Disney+Hotstar:
‘7th Day’ stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role and is directed by filmmaker Syamdhar. The film tells the story of a suspenses crime branch officer who gets involved in a case that he assumes to be very twisted and two friends approach him for help in a very serious matter. The music is given by Deepak Dev and the wonderful cinematography is handled by Sujith Vaassudev. The film is a must watch and you should not miss this one at any cost.
