Here’s How Loki Season 2 Can Take Care of MCU’s ‘Kang’ Problem

Loki Season 2 is one of the most highly-anticipated MCU titles that will arrive on the Disney+ streaming platform this year. And it may take care of the growing concerns about Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror.

In March this year, Majors was arrested on the charges of domestic abuse and harassment after an alleged altercation with his partner. The case has taken numerous twists and turns so far, with the actor maintaining his innocence. However, the situation has become complicated as many Hollywood insiders have come forward to reveal Majors’ on-set abusive behaviour and anger issues. As a result, the actor is no longer attached to his talent agency. And it seems like Marvel Cinematic Universe may do the same with Majors as their entire Phase Five and Six relies on Kang.

From Cosmic Circus, Alex Perez revealed that the ongoing ‘Kang’ problem would be resolved in Loki Season 2 after a Twitter user asked whether MCU would recast Kang or remove his entire storyline from the upcoming projects.

This is what Perez replied:

We don’t know how Kang will be handled in the upcoming season of Loki. But we do know that the character will play an important role in the show, and his actions may lay the foundation for forthcoming Avengers movies.

One alternative Marvel should consider to take care of the ‘Kang’ problem for good is replacing Majors with Chukwudi Iwuji. The latter recently appeared as High Evolutionary in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. His performance earned high praise from audiences and critics, making him a perfect choice to portray Kang. According to several reports, Marvel could choose one of High Evolutionary’s variants as Kang in future MCU projects. Plus, Iwuji is a fantastic actor. He can take the entire Multiverse Saga to new heights.

Loki Season 2 will arrive on Disney+ Hotstar on October 6. Stay tuned for more updates.
