Reliance Jio has launched its 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) service called Jio AirFiber starting with eight cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. Jio AirFiber is akin to a Wi-Fi hotspot or a router which uses high speed 5G technology instead of fiber optics.
So basically, Jio AirFiber is a home entertainment and wi-fi service with portable internet competitivity and that too without the hassle of any wired setup (unlike its wired counterpart JioFiber), amongst other benefits. Reliance Jio has launched these plans under two categories: AirFiber and AirFiberMax with different prices and speeds.
Besides the aforementioned features, JioAirFiber boasts of a big enticing factor that is bound to attract the massive OTT audience in India. So, here are the different plans which Reliance Jio is offering its customers as far as OTT benefits are concerned.
The base AirFiber plan costs Rs.599/- per month (plus GST) and it’s available on a six-monthly and yearly basis with 550+ live TV channels. This plan provides unlimited data with @ 30 Mbps speed along with access to Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, Zee5 and eleven more OTT platforms including JioCinema Premium.
Then, a higher AirFiber plan costs Rs.899/- per month (plus GST) with unlimited data @ 100 Mbps speed. The plan’s OTT benefits are the same as above.
The third AirFiber plan costs Rs.1199/- per month (plus GST) with unlimited data @ 100 Mbps speed. The plan’s OTT benefits include access to all of the above OTT platforms with the addition of two more streaming services namely Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
Furthermore, the three AirFiber Max plans cost Rs.1499/- per month, Rs.2499/- per month, and Rs.3999/- per month (plus GST) with unlimited data carrying speeds of 300 Mbps, 500 Mbps, and 1 Gbps, respectively. Besides 550+ live TV channels, the AirFiber Max plans’ OTT benefits include access to streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV, and twelve more OTT platforms including JioCinema Premium.
