Netflix India has just released its streaming calendar for the first half of August 2022. While Netflix’s lineup for the first fortnight of August is excellent, one upcoming title particularly caught our eye. It is none other than the final season of the popular police workplace comedy, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’. Yes, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8’ will finally begin streaming on Netflix India on August 13!
Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 is the final season of the show – one of Netflix’s most popular acquisitions from US broadcast network, NBC TV. Netflix holds the streaming rights for Brooklyn 99 for several markets globally, including India. However, as per the terms and conditions from NBC, Netflix can only stream the new season of Brooklyn Nine-Nine one year after its US TV premiere.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine debuted its finale Season 8 on August 12, 2021 on NBC in the USA. Now, the last and final season of everyone’s beloved Brooklyn 99 will stream on Netflix India on August 13, exactly a year after it began airing on NBC in the US.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine stars Andy Samberg as lovable police detective Jake Peralta, who is a member of the NYPD’s Precinct 99 police force. The show features an excellent ensemble cast, comprising Melissa Fumero (Amy Santiago), Terry Crews (Terry Jeffords), Andre Braugher (Captain Holt), Joe Lo Truglio (Charles Boyle), Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa Diaz), Dirk Blocker (Hitchcock), Joel McKinnon Miller (Scully), and of course, Chelsea Peretti (Gina Linetti).
