Here’s When Spider-Man NWH Extended Cut May Release In Theatres

Extended cuts of the movies are mostly better in comparison to the original product that gets dispatched in theatres. There’s no doubt about it. We can bestow the examples of movies like the Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Watchmen (2009), Batman VS Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), the entire LOTR trilogy, and many more, that got their extended cut. And they were way better than their theatrical releases. Now, it seems like MCU’s highest grosser in 2021, Spider-Man No Way Home, may get released again in theatres with some additional footage.

When it comes to MCU, the superhero franchise is not new to releasing the extended cuts of its original theatrical entries. Marvel re-released Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man Far From Home back in 2019 with an extra post-credits scene and a special tribute to Stan Lee.

No Way Home has collected more than $1.8 billion at the global box office. And its re-release strategy may aid it in crossing the illustrious $2 billion mark. Avatar has done it many times. Just kidding!

Various reports have hinted at NWH’s extended cut’s release on March 11. There were some early rumours about the extended cut treasuring additional footage of more than 100 minutes. However, Marvel has not yet confirmed this rumour. But it will be bingo for MCU fans if this happens.

Also, an extended cut is rumoured to give more screen time to Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock. Furthermore, the fans may get some extra minutes in the bonding scenes among the three Spideys: Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire.

Spider-Man No Way Home is currently playing in theatres.
