After a successful collaboration in Netflix’s ‘Jogi’, filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar and actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh’s second project together ‘Detective Sherdil’ has skipped theatres and will release direct-to-digital on Zee5.
A mystery-comedy drama, ‘Detective Sherdil’ stars Dosanjh as a quirky detective whose job is to solve some pretty extraordinary cases.
Filmed in Budapest, ‘Detective Sherdil’ is directed by Ravi Chhabriya who makes his feature directorial debut with the film. Chhabriya has also written the screenplay for the film alongside Zafar and Sagar Bajaj.
In addition to Dosanjh, ‘Detective Shergil’ also stars Diana Penty, Boman Irani, Chunky Panday, Ratna Pathak Shah, Banita Sandhu and Sumeet Vyas.
Claimed to be a fun and thrilling family watch, ‘Detective Sherdil’ is produced by Himanshu Mehra, Zafar, Rohini Singh and Manmeet Singh via AAZ Films and Offside Entertainment and presented by Maurya Entertainment. ‘Detective Sherdil’ will alnd exclusively on Zee5 on 20th June, 2025.
