Mismatched came out recently on Netflix and is trending on #1 on the streaming giant. The show is a teenage romantic comedy loaded with dollops of cuteness. But it’s specially the lead stars, Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf, that steal the show.
While amidst all other tracks that take place simultaneously in the series, the one thing audience eagerly waits for are the sequences where Rishi (Rohit Saraf) and Dimple (Prajakta Koli) are together. Though they start off on the wrong foot things gradually get on track.
The way calm, composed and compassionate Rishi handles feisty, nerdy and a little arrogant Dimple just makes one fall in love with him. The caring, chivalrous nature of Rishi’s character is not just limited to his love interest Dimple but applies to every other person around him. And that makes him more so adorable.
The way he doesn’t want to be like his flirtatious father and believes in old school romance and a happy long marriage in this fast pacing, impatient and materialistic world, makes him stand out. At times his character seems too good to be true but still, one can’t help but be wooed by him.
The budding chemistry between Rishi and Dimple is what every teenager wants when they find someone they like. Their kissing scenes will make you blush throughout. But towards the end of this first season of Mismatched on Netflix things get a bit weird, leaving the audience a little sad. It will be interesting to see how the misunderstanding gets resolved between the two, if and when the new season for Mismatched arrives on Netflix.
