Here’s Why Fans Are Disappointed With Disney+ Hotstar’s ‘What If…?’

Marvel Studios’ first animated series ‘What If…?’ starts streaming from today but the eager Indian Marvel fans are left a bit disappointed with it. The reason for this is the unavailability of the show in regional Indian languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and more. The series is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar only in English.

Disney+ Hotstar has been a fan favourite when it comes to releasing content in multiple languages simultaneously. More so in case of recent Marvel series like Wanda Vision, Falcon and The Winter Soldier and Loki.

But in case of ‘What If…?’ it’s not the same and people have been asking the platform for the same on social media. In response Disney+ Hotstar has the same reply for everyone, wherein it has no update regarding the dubbed versions of the series. Check this out👇🏼

A few weeks ago the platform had announced Scarlett Johansson’s ‘Black Widow’ coming soon to the streaming service. It had also announced that the film will be available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada even though they do not have an exact release date for the film on Disney+ Hotstar yet.

Now that they don’t have the same feature for ‘What If…?’, fans are bound to be dissatisfied with the service. It’s possible that the platform works upon the same soon and makes the dubbed versions available for its subscribers. Until then one will have to make do with the original English version.

As per Marvel, ‘What If…?’ flips the script on MCU and reimagines famous events from the films in unexpected ways. It focuses on different heroes from the MCU, featuring a voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their roles.

Bryan Andrews has directed ‘What If…?’ while Ashley Bradley serves as its head writer. Jeffrey Wright, Chadwick Boseman, Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan and more star in ‘What If…?’, Marvel Studios’ first animated original series.
