Time travel is not a new idea and has been doing rounds for quite a while now. Planet of the Apes (1968), Back to the Future (1985), Groundhog Day (1993), Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004), Star Trek (2009), Interstellar (2014)…the list could go on and on. And it’s not just limited to movies, various series too have made forays into the concept of time travel ranging from Doctor Who, Fringe, Timeless, Outlander, Lost to the most recent one Dark.
Time-travel has been dealt with in both serious and fun ways but one thing that’s common in all this is the curiosity it entails. Human mind has this never ending inquisitiveness to know the unknown, whether it’s the past or future. The unproven nature of this concept let’s one run into wildest of imaginations, sometimes bringing out mind boggling ideas that later turn into incredible movies and shows.
It’s definitely not an easy genre to work with as a lot of technicalities are involved and it can often have confusing outcomes. The art of story telling when it comes to time travel has to be extraordinary. And that’s the reason makers who make shows or movies based on their phenomenal ideation deserve appreciation.
To say that this scientific fantasy of time travel has given and will continue to give us amazing flicks and shows wouldn’t be an understatement, given the fan base it has. All this aside and apparently just an imagination but wouldn’t it be awesome if someone developed a REAL time machine? Would you care for a ride if that happens?
