Here’s Why You Should Watch This Emmys 2020 Sleeper Hit!

By Binged Bureau - Sep 21, 2020 @ 06:09 pm

Schitt’s Creek won big time at Emmys this year with nine awards, including the award for the best comedy drama. This comedy series available on Netflix, might not be as famous as the others but its the simplicity of it that makes it so very good.

Schitt’s Creek is a Canadian sitcom about Rose family that went from being filthy rich to rags in just a matter of time, and the only thing left with them is a town that they once bought as a joke. While the family thinks low of the town, they gradually realise that they have been very warmly welcomed by the local people and whether they accept it or not they will have to adjust.

The series touches aspects ranging from family bonding to showcasing in the best way possible the beauty of LGBTQ relationships. You cannot help yourself but just adore the relationship between David (Daniel Levy) and Patrick (Noah Reid).

Every actor in the show does justice to their character, whether it’s Catherine O’Hara as Moira, Eugene Levy as Jhonny, Daniel Levy as David or Annie Murphy as Alexis. They all bring something to their characters that overall lifts up the whole series to another level.

Those who have seen the series know how the best part about it is its simplicity and not trying hard to be funny. It’s those small moments throughout the show that will make you love it. Though one can relate more to the local people of the town than the Rose family, you still can never dislike them for just being who they are.

Another thing to watch out for in Schitt’s Creek is the style quotient. David’s love for black & whites, Alexis’ uber chic style, Moira’s collection of wigs and off beat outfits and Johnny’s classic suits, very well brings out their personalities.

Well, if you haven’t seen Schitt’s Creek yet, it is highly recommended that you give it a go. It might not seem very interesting in the beginning but just give it a little time to grow on you and you’ll know why we said what we said above.

Schitt’s Creek is available on Netflix, and has six seasons with around 80 episodes in total, each of around 20-25 minutes.
