After dispatching the trailer on November 15, Lionsgate Play has dropped a new promotional poster of its upcoming web series, Hiccups & Hookups, today. It features the lead cast consisting of Lara Dutta, Prateik Babbar, and Shinnova Aparna.
The latest poster displays the imperfect trio of the Rao family standing in a kitchen near a refrigerator. Director Kunal Kohli is helming the forthcoming web series. He is prominent for directing projects like Hum Tum (2004), Fanaa (2006), Teri Meri Kahani (2012), and many more.
The series tells a modern tale of a dysfunctional family. Lara Dutta is playing the role of a single mother, Vasu. She wants to open a new chapter of love in her life in addition to satisfying herself intimately. Babbar is playing Vasu’s brother, Akhil. He is more of a dating fling guy as he doesn’t like being in serious relationships.
And then, we have a newcomer, Shinnova, donning the character of Kay. She is a pretentious teen who is looking to explore her teenage days. Also, she is adjusting to the fact that her mother is looking for a new relationship. But the parents of Vasu and Akhil are not happy with them. That’s where the trouble begins.
Hiccups & Hookups is Lara Dutta’s third web series after Beecham House (2019) and Hundred (2020). She also starred in Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom this year.
