Hijack: Idris Elba’s Apple TV+ Series To Premiere Soon

Apple TV Plus is all set to premiere its new series ‘Hijack’ on its platform. The series is described as a tense and gripping thriller that will keep you glued to your seats. ‘Hijack’ premieres on Apple TV Plus on 28th June, 2023, which is this Wednesday.

As the name suggests, the seven-episode thriller series ‘Hijack’ takes place in mid-air, aboard the fictional Flight KA29, which is hijacked on its way from Dubai to London. Idris Elba plays Sam Nelson, a corporate negotiator, who uses his exceptional negotiating skills to try and save all the 200 passengers on board from the wrath of the hijackers.

Besides Idris Elba in the lead role, Hijack stars Archie Panjabi, Christine Adams, Jude Cudjoe, Max Beesley, Ben Miles, Neil Maskell, Mohamed Elsandel, Aimée Kelly, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Eve Myles, among others, in crucial roles. The series is created by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) and Jim Field Smith (Criminal, Truth Seekers).

‘Hijack’ will premiere on Apple TV+ on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, with the first two episodes, followed by one new episode every Wednesday. The finale episode of the limited series will premiere on Apple TV Plus on August 2.

The story of ‘Hijack’ is told in real time, making it a terrifically tense thriller, with the coveted edge-of-the-seat quality. The official synopsis of Hijack reads – “When Flight KA29 is hijacked during its seven-hour journey from Dubai to London, corporate negotiator Sam Nelson tries to use his professional skills to save everyone on board.”
