Comedy film ‘Khichdi 2’ released in theatres on 17th November, 2023, as a post-Diwali treat for families. For those who don’t know, Khichdi 2, titled as ‘Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan’ is a sequel to the first ‘Khichdi’ movie, and the beloved Khichdi TV serial on Star Plus. The movie did not do too well at the box office, sinking without a trace.
Now, almost three months after its theatrical release, Khichdi 2 is gearing up to release on streaming. We at Binged have got you confirmed information on the Khichdi 2 OTT release date and platform. The comedy drama premieres on ZEE5 on 9th February, 2024.
Khichdi 2 follows the Parekh family, as they set off on their own Mission Impossible in the fictional country of Paanthukistan. Beloved characters – Babuji, Hansa, Prafull, Jaishree and Himanshu are back with all their quirks, as the family is offered 5 crores to carry out a secret mission in Paanthukistan – rescue a missing person from his kidnappers.
The primary cast of Khichdi makes a return in Khichdi 2, including Anang Desai as Babuji, Vandana Pathak as Jaishree, Supriya Pathak as Hansa, Rajeev Mehta as Praful, and JD Majethia as Himanshu. New faces in Khichdi 2 are Farah Khan, Kirti Kulhari, Pratik Gandhi, Deven Bhojani, Anant Vidhaat, Kiku Sharda, Flora Saini, among others.
Khichdi 2 is written and directed by Aatish Kapadia. It is produced by J.D. Majethia, under his banner Hatsoff Productions. Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan premieres on ZEE5 on 9th February, 2024.
