Good news for K-drama fans: The much awaited ‘Song Of The Bandits’ is going to premiere on OTT soon. The show will be available to watch on Netflix from the 22nd of September. It will be there in Korean, English and Hindi.
Song Of The Bandits is a historical drama written by Han Jeong-hoon and directed by Hwang Jun-hyeok. It tells the story of the Japanese occupation of the Korean lands and the continual oppression of civilians. During the 1920s, the natives of Joseon were exiled to Japan and had to go through much hardship. The civilians who went to the region of Gando formed a group and vowed to take care of their motherland. Gando is in a state of total chaos, and here the team starts building up enough strength to free their lands.
The show stars actors like Kim Nam-gil, Seohyun, Yoo Jae-myung, Lee Hyun-wook, Lee Ho-jung and many others. It is an action melodrama and even though there are not many action shows from South Korea, Song Of The Bandits is a very anticipated one. Fans have been waiting for this for quite some time and now it is releasing on OTT.
The Netflix original is a wonderful telling of the Japanese colonial times in Korea and the rebellious forces against them. If you are fond of historical dramas, you should not miss this one. Song Of The Bandits will release on the 22nd of September on Netflix.
