Ever since the opening season of the superhero series ‘The Boys’ debuted on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform, the Emmy-nominated show has gained a cult following of sorts. The recently concluded third season of ‘The Boys’ was an instant hit and eventually became the highest rated season on Rotten Tomatoes with a whopping 98% critics’ score. So, naturally, all eyes are now on the ‘The Boys’ Season-4 and any update regarding the upcoming season is looked forward to by all fans.
As per the latest update regarding ‘The Boys Season-4’, the makers have promoted Cameron Crovetti, who plays the role of Ryan, the superpowered son of the world’s strongest superhero Homelander (Antony Starr), to a series regular. Which means that Crovetti’s Ryan will have a meatier role in Season-4 which will tie up to the show’s main story in a big way.
That didn’t come as a surprise considering the shockingly gloomy yet fitting finale of the ‘The Boys S3’. Crovetti’s character is expected to share more screen space with Starr’s Homelander in Season-4 and it would be interesting to see whether Ryan would become as evil and corrupt as his father or will he turn out to be the only force which can destroy Homelander.
Cameron Crovetti is a rising young performer who was last seen in Russo Brothers’ Netflix action thriller movie ‘The Gray Man’ in the role of Ryan Gosling character’s younger version. Besides ‘The Boys S4’, Crovetti’s forthcoming acting roles include the mystery drama ‘Goodnight Mommy’ co-starring Naomi Watts, horror movie ‘Oracle’, and the dystopian action flick ‘Boy Kills World’.
Besides, ‘Orange is the New Black’ actress Susan Heyward and ‘Blair Witch’ actress Valorie Curry have been cast as series regulars and they will be essaying the roles of Sister Sage and Firecracker, respectively.
‘The Boys’ is a satirical take on one of the most popular comic-book superheroes and is set in a world where superheroes are adored by people. They are being managed by a corrupt, multi-billion-dollar organization named Vought. The plot follows another group of titular vigilantes ‘The Boys’, who are hellbent on destroying those superheroes who abuse their superpowers. The ragtag team is led by the disgruntled Billy Butcher who is after Vought’s most powerful superhero team ‘The Seven’ led by the indestructible megalomaniac Homelander.
