Homeland’s Claire Danes, Howard Gordon Reteam For Netflix Show

Showtime hit series Homeland’s winning team of actress Claire Danes and co-creator Howard Gordon are back together for a new project, this time for Netflix. The duo has teamed up for just-announced Netflix series ‘The Beast In Me’. The limited series is written by Gabe Rotter, while Howard Gordon will be the showrunner.

Gabe Rotter has earlier worked on The X-Files reboot series. Howard Gordon is well-known for his involvement in shows such as Homeland, 24, Beauty And The Beast, among others.

The new series ‘The Beast In Me’ follows acclaimed author Aggie Wings, who is grieving the death of her young son, and unable to write. But when a real estate mogul, once a suspect in his wife’s disappearance, moves into the house next door, Aggie finds herself increasingly fascinated with the enigmatic man. Her investigation spirals into a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.

The official synopsis of ‘The Beast In Me’ reads – “Since the tragic death of her young son, acclaimed author Aggie Wiggs has receded from public life, unable to write, a ghost of her former self. But she finds an unlikely subject for a new book when the house next door is bought by Nile Sheldon, a famed and formidable real estate mogul who was once the prime suspect in his wife’s disappearance. At once horrified and fascinated by this man, Aggie finds herself compulsively hunting for the truth – chasing his demons while fleeing her own – in a game of cat and mouse that might turn deadly.”

There’s no word on the rest of the cast for ‘The Beast In Me’. Interestingly, Jodie Foster is one of the executive producers of the Netflix series.
