Hopes Are High, “Manifest” Might Survive Even Without Netflix or NBC

Manifest has been constantly the talk of the town for quite some town now. Ever since NBC decided to cancel Manifest, the show has gained and created a whole new movement on social media. With constant online campaigns and trending hashtags, Manifest has been able to grab everyone’s attention. Given this, Manifest has also landed itself some more fans now, who are trying to keep the fighting spirit of saving the show alive.

Fans had high expectations from Netflix because the series’ first two seasons started streaming on the platform, quite recently in U.S. Netflix. Ever since that, the show has not only topped the Top 10 charts but has maintained to stay in the league by constantly trending on the Top 10 list. NBC cancelled the series after 3 seasons and creators had been in discussion with Netflix to continue the series. Surprisingly, though Netflix is known to be the saviour of such series, this time it didn’t go ahead with it.

But now, the creator of the show Jeff Rake, who has been continuously updating the fans about the series, has given some kind of hope . In his latest social media post, the creator mentioned how he still wishes to create the show and at least give it a proper ending, as he believes fans very much deserve to know the story. He mentioned that it will definitely take some time but if the conversation around the show continues, it will definitely bring more attention to it.

Season 3 ended on a major cliffhanger and fans have gone on to call the end of the season tragic and heartbreaking. It is even more so now, knowing that there might not be any more hopes left for the show. Rake presented the show as a 6 season series and one can say, it got just in the middle, many fans are asking for a movie as a sequel to conclude the story. But, it can clearly be said that a 3-hour movie won’t do justice to the story, which had so much more to tell.

If things go clear and the creators and actors somehow manage to get the series one final season, it would bring peace to many. Season 3 even brought in newer plot twists which made the show even more interesting. Given that the final season should have longer episodes or more episodes than usual because it would have a lot to cover.

Jeff Rake mentioned that it might take weeks, months, and maybe even a year but he isn’t giving up anytime soon. Even if the show doesn’t get all the seasons it was meant to have, the story at least needs to get completed and maybe a format of one more season can help bring justice to the story, creators, actors, and especially the fans.

It would be interesting to see what the fate of Flight 828 will be now since neither the fans nor the creators are giving up anytime soon.

As for India, one can stream all the seasons of “Manifest” on Amazon Prime Video.
