Streaming giant Disney+Hotstar has renewed the popular Tamil series called Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. The series started streaming on Hotstar in April this year and continued for a super long 114 episodes.
The series was not even original but a spin-off of a highly popular TV series from 2006. It was also called Kana Kaanum Kaalangal. Needless to say, the nostalgia factor was the big engine for the successful run of the show.
The story as you may already know revolves around a bunch of high school students. So naturally, it involves jealousy, rivalry, misunderstandings, arguments, and personal grudges too.
For such a long-running show, it had too many actors in the cast as well. Bharath Kumar, VJ Sangeetha, Aravind Seiju, Raja Vetri Prabhu, Irfan, Teja Venkatesh, Deepika Venkatachalam, and many more.
The series ran for a long time and still was on the trending list for almost all of its run time. This has helped Hotstar to commit for the second season that has already been announced.
Disney+Hotstar has announced that the series has been renewed for the second season. They haven’t announced any specific release date as of now but we will keep you updated if there is any announcement.
