HBO has dropped the official ‘green’ trailer of House of the Dragon Season 2. And it seems like Rhaenyra is in no mood to even think about the good for the Seven Kingdoms. In the words of Otto Hightower, she will seek “the satisfaction of vengeance” in the upcoming season.
The latest trailer opens with Alicent reminding us about how peaceful the Seven Kingdoms were during Viserys’ reign. She also defies Rhaenyra’s claim for the Iron Throne, believing that Rhaenyra’s supporters “will believe what they wish.” She wanted Aegon to succeed Viserys. And she was successful in her efforts.
We also see Aegon (played by Tom Glynn-Carney) becoming crazier than he was in Season 1 in the trailer. He certainly looks more confident, brave, and a bit cocky compared to the previous season. This scenario forces his mother, Alicent, to remind him of the sacrifices that were made to help him sit on the Iron Throne.
Interestingly, Emma D’Arcy gets very low screen time in the latest trailer. The next trailer for Season 2 may focus more on Rhaenyra’s perspective on the overall situation.
House of the Dragon Season 2 will arrive on MAX on June 16. Indian viewers will be able to stream it on JioCinema.
