5 years ago in 2019, a free to stream YouTube show changed the direction of Indian OTT. We are talking about Kota Factory. Thankfully it was free to stream but the crazy excitement people showed towards the series is nothing less than a landmark. When Prime Video and Netflix India were busy making adult crime shows then Kota Factory targeted young students and delivered a masterful series with clean stories and dialogues.
The series revolves around a bunch of JEE Aspirants and we all know the insane craze of JEE in our country. But lately, the trends are reversing. Kota is more popular for NEET aspirants and the number of applications in NEET is also way more than JEE.
Also, the ongoing controversy around the NEET 2024 Scam by NTA will literally act like a blast in the views of Kota Factory. The show is bound to get a good reception on Netflix India but just imagine having a series on the problems of NEET aspirants in these turbulent times. It would be even bigger, to say the least.
Regardless, Kota Factory Season 3 is ready for release this Thursday on the 20th of June. Let’s wait to see how this season turns out to be.
