Netflix‘s Money Heist Season 5 is now just days away from its mega release. Fans have been patiently waiting for Season 5 to drop. To everyone’s delight Money Heist season 5 won’t just simply end in September. The upcoming season has been divided into parts of 5 episodes each. Volume 1 is scheduled for release on September 3rd and the final Volume of Money Heist will drop on 3rd December. Netflix’s Money Heist, which has become a global phenomenon now, needed time to come back in all its might and with the killer trailer that has dropped the makers have made sure that fans are not left disappointed in any way.
Like every season, Money Heist Season 5 will begin right from where Season 4 ended. Those are the moments when Nairobi died and the moment of Lisbon getting back with the team will be completely fresh at the beginning of this season. Now, we know from the trailer that Alicia Sierra has come across Professor and the team of robbers are all left alone and from the looks in the trailer, we can assess that Lisbon will be taking the charge ahead, behind her is Tokyo played by Úrsula Corberó, the main narrator of the show and one of the most crucial characters for the entire team after Professor.
Over the seasons, fans have witnessed a lot of things with Tokyo. According to many, she has evolved in every single season and that was clearly visible. But one thing that fans will find hard to admit is that Tokyo all along has been the “necessary evil” in the show. Yes, you heard and saw that correctly, Tokyo and evil together in one sentence. Now, some devoted Tokyo fans might ask, why such a statement? Well, then let’s go back a bit in time.
In Season 1, we saw the death of one loving character Moscow, Denver’s father. In one of the instances, when Tokyo was for a moment out of the scene and had to get back inside, she had to go back inside in a motorbike. In the nick of time, she managed to enter that but to protect her, Moscow laid down his life and we can see till this date Denver holds that grudge against her. Not to forget, her love to get into bad things, at the beginning of Season 4, was the main reason Rio was caught and later inhumanely tortured. She always had this temper and even though it was the clear instructions from her mentor, Professor, to do things in a team, as a team, and for the team, sometimes, she was deviated and had the utter desire to go solo or else she would be taking the charge.
But, then again it is this badass attitude of hers that has got the fans Season 4 for all that matters. Her activities led to Rio’s imprisonment which again led Professor to bring forward the next heist, which is where the story of Season 4 begins and continues till Season 5. Not only this, her fearlessness is the reason, she can take charge, take down people like even Gandia, one of the main villains since Season 4, and probably kill anyone and everyone responsible for Nairobi’s death. If there’s one person who can take revenge for Nairobi, it is Tokyo for sure.
Her random acts of rage definitely have got the team in major problems and not to mention lose team members, but if someone is out there who will lead and take responsibility, that will be hands down Tokyo and no one else. She is one person who has the fear of nothing and everyone knows when someone stops fearing, they become a nightmare for everyone else. So, yes Tokyo is most definitely an “evil”, but her necessity is far more important than anything for the entire “Money Heist” to go ahead.
Also, just like Nairobi always used to talk about “matriarchy” to take over. Money Heist Season 5 will apparently be the epitome of that very fact and nothing else can be bigger of a tribute than that for Nairobi and Tokyo, who will make sure everyone pays for what they did to her best friend.
