The much-anticipated Hulu’s spiff-off to the immensely popular American sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’ has reportedly cast Chris Lowell opposite lead actress Hilary Duff.
While the original series revolved around its principal character called Ted Mosby (portrayed by Josh Radnor), who, in the year 2030, narrates an amusing tale to his son and daughter about how he met their mother.
Following a similar template, in the upcoming spin-off show ‘How I Met Your Father’, the female protagonist Sophie (played by Hilary Duff), in the near future, recounts to her son the story about how she met her father.
The backstory, set in present times, would ostensibly explore Sophie and her close-knit group of friends who are in the midst of figuring out who they are, what they want out of life, and how to fall in love in the age of dating apps and limitless options.
While Chris Lowell’s character will be playing Jesse – one of Sophie’s friends. He will be portrayed as a budding musician who drives an Uber cab to make a living.
A few hours back, Hulu Retweeted a post (via Deadline) with an image of Chris Lowell and the post was marked with the words “How I Met Your Father just found their dad. Chris Lowell joins Hulu’s spinoff series.”
Chris Lowell is known for his roles in TV series ‘Veronica Mars’, ‘Graves’, ‘Enlisted’, ‘Private Practice’ and ‘Glow’, etc.. Besides, the good-looking actor has also made appearances in films like ‘Promising Young Woman’, ‘The Help’, and ‘Up in the Air’, amongst others.
