How Is Netflix Dominating the Advertising Space in OTT?

Whatever Apple does in the mobile phone industry is followed by everyone no matter how much trolling Apple gets. Similar is the situation with Netflix in the streaming landscape. It may have some severe problems but at the same time, all the other platforms somehow end up copying Netflix.

So what’s the latest news?

Netflix US ad revenues are much more per user than any other streamer. Just to give you an idea, it is $70.44 for Netflix while it is just $45.87 for Hulu.

You would be further surprised to know that Hulu is only second to Netflix in average ad revenues per user. That is a massive difference of 53.6%.

If we talk about Disney+ and Max then the numbers fall even further to $37.87 and $26.49 respectively which is nowhere near Netflix if we decide to compare.

The reasons could be many. Engagement of users is the most important aspect in determining ad revenues. Netflix knows how to keep users glued with shows that touch every aspect of our world.

Perhaps this is something other OTT platforms need to learn from Netflix. For more interesting insights from the OTT I
