How Much Time Do Indians Spend On OTT Each Day?

No matter what we say, we are beings that are too easily addicted to technology. And if you have watched the haunting Netflix documentary “The Social Dilemma” then you would know that these technology companies design their software to be addictive.

There can’t be any sugarcoating the fact that these apps want our attention more and more. But, a report titled “New-Age Digital Consumption: A Survey of Social Media, OTT Content and Online Gaming” has come into existence.

The report says how much time and money Indians spend on OTT platforms, gaming, and social media.

Just to give an idea, Indians spend a whopping 194 minutes on social media compared to 46 minutes of gaming.

Also, they tend to spend ₹100/month on gaming but social media is mostly free (at least that is what appears to be).

What’s the case with OTT then?

Let’s talk about it because if you are on Binged then we can assume that you love it as well.

So, Indians spend about 44 minutes on OTT daily. It still says a lot about the availability of OTT among Indians.

Given the not so big timing, we can assume that either Indians are fed up with the redundant content on OTT or the platforms are not even accessible to them.

Also, when it comes to spending then Indians spend about ₹200-400/month on OTT platform. It indicates that those who purchase any OTT subscription tend to purchase more than 1 OTT subscription. Because other than Netflix, no other platform asks you to spend that much money every month.
