The Viral Fever and Netflix India have revealed today that all the three seasons of their popular original series ‘Kota Factory’ is trending in India.
As per the latest stats, ‘Kota Factory’ season 3 is at the number one spot and this its fourth week of being in the Top 10 TV Shows on Netflix India. As for season 1 and 2, they stand at number 6 and 7 respectively and with this re-entry both the previous seasons have now been in the list for 9 weeks.
But this isn’t the first week that all the three seasons have together marked a presence in the Top 10 TV shows list of Netflix India. It has been the happening ever since the third season of ‘Kota Factory’ premiered on June 20. Moreover, this is the fourth consecutive week that all the three seasons of the show have been dominating the charts consistently.
In fact, the hype for the latest third instalment was such that a week prior to its release, the first and second season started trending on Netflix India. Also, since it’s launch ‘Kota Factory’ Season 3 has maintained its number 1 spot on the Top 10 TV Shows list on Netflix India.
Though one is bound to think of the reasons of ‘Kota Factory’s’ success after coming to know of such great stats. Is it because the show is really that good or is it because there’s not much in the Indian TV shows category for Netflix currently.
No doubt ‘Kota Factory’ is good but it definitely isn’t that great to have all three seasons trending for four weeks back to back. This significantly highlights how Netflix India has failed to build a good Indian TV series franchise recently like Prime Video India’s ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Panchayat’, ‘Breathe’ and ‘Inside Edge’ or SonyLIV’s ‘Gullak’, ‘Mahrani’, ‘Rocket Boys’ and ‘Scam’ franchises.
