Nirmala, the matriarch, handles the family with absolute strictness, but when Manju, the lively girl, comes in, nothing goes on like before. The movie was remade with Sonam Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah in 2014.
‘Bemisaal’ tells the story of a man named Sudhir, who is the adopted son of a respected gentleman named Mr Chaturvedi. He develops a strong bond with Chaturvedi’s son and comes to his rescue when he goes through some serious crisis in life. It has Amitabh Bachchan, Vinod Mehra, Rasheed Gulzar in leading roles and is a must watch if you like old Bollywood classics.

With a story from the legendary Salil Choudhury, Naukri is directed by the maestro of common-man stories, Hrishikesh Mukherjee. It stars Rajesh Khanna and Raj Kapoor in the lead roles and tells the story of a disabled man without a job who has got the notice from his landlord to vacate the house in a day, he meets a stranger at this time and his life changes for good. The movie is not streaming on OTT but it is available to watch on YouTube.
