The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) is all set with an exciting lineup of films from October 11th to 15th. Among the highlights is “Khufiya,” starring Tabu. This Netflix-backed production is making its theatrical world premiere at the festival, promising a thrilling experience for cinema enthusiasts. Yes, Netflix India originals don’t usually get theatrical openings but this one will.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, “Khufiya” is adapted from the novel “Escape to Nowhere,” penned by Amar Bhushan. The film showcases Tabu in a complex role as an operative who must skillfully navigate the treacherous world of espionage while also dealing with matters of the heart. The stellar cast includes Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Azmeri Haque Badhon.
Vishal Bhardwaj is celebrated for his extraordinary adaptations of Shakespearean classics such as “Maqbool,” “Omkara,” and “Haider”.
