India makes a variety of films in a variety of different languages. Some of them appeal to the critics, perhaps a greater portion is approved by the audiences. However, only a few of them receive the honour of being featured in the Oscar library. A few Indian films that have received this honour are Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Devdas and Guzaarish. A few others on the list are Rock On. But, the list is very very limited.
Well, the latest film of our very own Dhanush has joined the list of these elite films. We are talking about Raayan, the latest offering by our “Sexy Tami Friend”.
Raayan’s screenplay is now a part of the library of the “Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.” This is indeed a great thing for the fans of the film as it is just a way to gain international recognition. If the Academy did not select it even then the movie was equally great. Things like these just help in International recognition and they should not be taken as parameters of how good or bad a film is.
The makers were informed of this happy news themselves. Raayan is already doing really well on the big screens, perhaps this news will help it pull more audiences.
