US streamer Hulu has an exciting show coming up soon. Titled ‘Extraordinary’, the show has an innovative premise that is bound to appeal to the millennial crowd. Even more interestingly, the series comes from the writers of ‘Killing Eve’. ‘Extraordinary‘ centres on the unique premise that everyone in the world has superpowers, all except the protagonist of the story, Jen (Máiréad Tyers).
All episodes of ‘Extraordinary’ premiere on Hulu on January 25th. In some good news for Indian audiences, ‘Extraordinary’ will also stream in India, along with its US premiere. We at Binged have got you confirmed information on the ‘Extraordinary’ OTT release date and OTT platform in India. ‘Extraordinary’ will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar in India, on the very same day as Hulu, which is 25th January.
‘Extraordinary’ stars Máiréad Tyers as the lead Jen, Sofia Oxenham as her friend, Carrie; Bilal Hasna as her flatmate Kash; and Luke Rollason as Jizzlord. Additional cast members include Siobhan McSweeney, Robbie Gee, Safia Oakley-Green, and Ned Porteous.
The series is written and created by Emma Moran, and directed by Toby McDonald, Jennifer Sheridan, and Nadira Amrani. The official synopsis of ‘Extraordinary’ reads, “Welcome to a world where everyone over the age of 18 develops a superpower. Everyone except for 25-year-old Jen, who feels like she’s being left behind. Luckily, Jen’s flatmates – Carrie, Kash, and a mysterious stray – keep her from falling into a well of self-pity. Adrift in a big, confusing world, and armed with nothing but a bit of hope and a lot of desperation, Jen begins her journey to find her maybe-superpower. But in doing so, she might discover the joy of being just kind of ok.”
