Hulu original series ‘Death And Other Details’ has drummed up the right kind of buzz in the run-up to its release on the American streamer. The whodunit series is the classic closed-space murder mystery, and takes place on a luxurious cruise liner in the middle of the ocean. ‘Death And Other Details’ premieres on Hulu on 16th January, 2024.
Interestingly, ‘Death And Other Details’ will enjoy a simultaneous release on Disney Plus in most countries across the world, which is on 16th January itself. Disney Plus Hotstar, the Indian arm of Disney Plus, has still not conveyed any information regarding the release of ‘Death And Other Details’ in India along with its US release. But since the series is premiering on Disney Plus around the world, we expect it to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on the same day.
‘Death And Other Details’ follows the brilliant Imogene Scott, who finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time and becomes the prime suspect in a locked-room murder mystery. She has no other option to prove her innocence than to partner with a man she despises, Rufus Cotesworth, the world’s greatest detective.
Violett Beane plays Imogene Scott in ‘Death And Other Details’, while Mandy Patinkin plays Rufus Coteworth. Lauren Patten, Rahul Kohli, Angela Zhou, Hugo Diego Garcia, Pardis Saremi, Linda Emond, Jayne Atkinson, David Marshall Grant, Danny Johnson, Lisa Lu, among others, form the rest of the cast.
The series comes from the minds of Heidi Cole McAdams (The 100) and Mike Weiss (The Mentalist). Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man, 2012) has directed the pilot episode. The ten-episode series reimagines the classic Agatha Christie murder mystery style with modern sensibilities.
