Disney+ Hotstar is riding high on the widespread acclaim of Sushmita Sen starrer crime drama series ‘Aarya Season 2’, which started streaming on the platform earlier this month. And now, after last month’s filming wrap for its much-anticipated medical thriller web series titled ‘Human’ that will soon be streaming on the platform, Disney+ Hotstar has now released an intriguing first look teaser for the show.
The first look teaser features eminent actress Shefali Shah in a never-seen-before mysterious avatar of a doctor and suggests that the show will have elements of a thriller, drama, and a murder mystery – all wrapped into one web series. However, there is still no update on the exact release date for the show. But since it has been mentioned that the trailer for ‘Human’ will be unveiled soon, we can expect the show’s release date to be simultaneously revealed.
‘Human’, which was being touted as Vipul Amrutlal Shah’s dream project, is a web series that belongs to the medical thriller genre and is ostensibly based on the scarcely touched-upon subject of human drug trials. The show has been directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah alongside Mozez Singh. Besides Shefali Shah, the web series also features an ensemble cast that includes Kirti Kulhari, Ram Kapoor, Seem Biswas, Aditya Srivastava, and Mohan Agashe, amongst others.
Considering the scarcity of content in the medical thriller sub-genre in India and even globally, it would be quite interesting how ‘Human’ eventually turns out to be. But with Vipul Shah (Director – Aankhen, Waqt, Namastey London) at the helm and Shefali Shah in the lead, our hopes are certainly high. And yes, we are certainly ready for this dose on Disney+ Hotstar.
