Last week, came news that mentioned NBC’s hit show “Manifest” being cancelled after 3 successful seasons. Fans everywhere were completely in disbelief and started an online campaign to save Manifest. Just after the news of the series being cancelled, came better news. It was mentioned that Netflix and Warner Bros. TV were in conversation to renew Manifest with Season 4. Fans were super excited and were hopeful about the upcoming results and how we have news regarding Manifest and Netflix.
After a week long discussion and lots of deliberations, sad news has come in. The news is that Netflix apparently has refused to revive the series and decided not to go ahead with Season 4 of the series. Fans were really expecting a lot from Netflix, especially when Netflix has been known as the saviour of such series. Fans had high hopes with Netflix and Manifest being renewed by the streamer but sadly it seems like the discussions have ended and there won’t be any more of Manifest for the fans.
The supernatural, thriller drama earlier streamed its first two seasons on Netflix and within no time the show hit the No. 1 spot on the U. S. charts. The series is available at the moment on Netflix only for the American subcontinent. Given the show hitting the No. 1 spot, everyone was pretty sure that Netflix would have renewed it and also the hype around it made it pretty obvious that the show was quite popular. After Netflix declined to revive the show, the makers decided not to go ahead with other streamers because that would bring up lots of issues with digital rights and various other legal things.
Manifest ending with Season 3 has left fans distraught everywhere and even with a continuously trending hashtag of #SaveManifest fans couldn’t help in getting the show back. The show apparently ends on a major cliffhanger at the moment, because the cancellation literally came announced for the creators and the cast too. The show was actually perceived as a six-season series so, dropping the series with just 3 series, a lot of the stories remained to be told.
Seeing the cancellation and no more chance to revive the show, Jeff Rake the creator, along with lead actor Josh Dallas, went ahead and shared their feelings as they thanked fans for continuously showering the show with love and bringing on the online campaign.
