Girish AD will be returning with a new movie soon. The director from the Malayalam film industry impressed audiences with his romantic film ‘Premalu’ and now fans are excited for the new movie. It is titled ‘I Am Kathalan’ and will be a cyber crime thriller. The movie is slated for a theatrical release in August this year.
Actor Naslen K. Gafur, whi is a regular collaborator of Girish AD, will be playing the lead role in the movie. The two have worked together in ‘Thaneer Mathan Dinangal’, ‘Super Sharanya’ and also the latest ‘Premalu’. The screenplay is from Sajin Cherukayil. Actress Anishma Anilkumar, Dileesh Pothan, Lijomol Jose, Vineeth Viswam, TG Ravi, and Vineeth Vasudevan will also be there in important roles. The movie is being produced by Dr. Paul Varghese and Krishnamoorthy.
The Music for the movie is being composed by Siddhartha Pradeep and the cinematography is handled by Sharan Velayudhan.
Sajin Cherukayil, the screenwriter, has said, “It will be unlike anything Girish has done before in terms of style. Although it ventures into the thriller space, it’s not what I would call a ‘dark thriller’. It’s a narrative told predominantly through humour. It packs some surprises for the latter half.”
‘I Am Kathalan’ will be hitting the theaters in August this year. The date is not out yet and there is no information regarding the plot as well. We will have further details when the teaser or trailer is out.
