The event was organized by the government Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MIB) and NFDC as a maiden event for the promotion of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and Film Bazaar. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Anees Bazmee, Kartik Aaryan, Ekta Kapoor, Kishan Kumar Sharma, Goa Chief Minister Dr.Pramod Sawant, Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Amit Khare graced the occasion, hence called the Doli Kumari event.
Film Bazaar is like the world congregation where filmmakers from India and around the world converge to showcase their latest projects. The intention of this festival is to meet new acquaintances and showcase their talents to the globe. NFDC wants to create a space for filmmakers in pavilions to play out their film projects with the ultimate goal of making timely and international deals from these kinds of festivals.
The event was really charged, everyone was brimming with ways for ensuring that this year’s Film Bazaar stood out yet another notch. “It was an energetic discussion with some of the most creative minds in the industry,” said Prithul Kumar from MIB, sounding really positive about what’s coming.
Jerome Pilliard, a new recruitment, reveals this year’s film bazaar with a fresh tone and flavor that promises international flavor acquired from the Cannes Film Market already opened to new international collaborations within it.
Goa will hold the festival from 20 to 28 November, with the Film Bazaar being conducted from 21 to 24 November! This year’s event will showcase more than 230 films from various countries, which, consequently, will give filmmakers a global platform and a reason for movie lovers to rejoice over the diversity of cinema. Big preparations are on in the offing for a great festival that promises exciting stories witnessed on screen.
