Netflix India is coming up with a bold attempt this week. It is IC 814. In case you are unaware we don’t blame you. Due to some reason, the platform did not promote the series well. You must remember that the platform did decently well during the promotions of The Railway Men. That was also a limited series based on an emergency situation. Even that the YRF series suffered due to Tiger 3 getting released during the same time the promotions were still better than IC 814.
IC 814 has a really great cast and the story is extremely sensitive. Anubhav Sinha is a really promising director and he has the potential to helm a sensitive series with ease and smoothness. However, he has a history of making politically charged films of a certain kind.
If the series has something which may come out problematic then it will make a big noise. Needless to say, controversies are quite beneficial but not all the time. Let’s see if this is the case with IC 814.
The series has a great cast with people like Vijay Verma, Arvind Swamy, Naseeruddin Shah, Dia Mirza, Pankaj Kapur etc.
Most of them are expert actors and it will be a delight to see them in the series.
