Get ready for the return of “The Kumars at No. 42”! This popular British comedy is making a comeback, but this time it’s heading to American TV on Fox. They’re working on a new show called “Meet The Kumars,” which will be a mix of comedy, improvisation, and interviews.
The story revolves around the Kumar family, a typical British Indian family who have turned their backyard into a fancy TV studio. They host their own talk show, and now they’re aiming to bring their humour to American audiences. The show was alright back in the 2000s but it is 2024. Will those racist, stereotypical elements survive in this time? That would be interesting to see.
The original cast, including Sanjeev Bhaskar, Meera Syal, and Vincent Ebrahim, will be back, along with a new addition, Shaheen Khan. They’ll film the show in the UK next month.
The original series was a hit, running for seven seasons and winning awards like the Peabody and two International Emmy Awards.
