The iconic serial-killer psychological crime drama Silence of the Lambs will soon get a sequel in the form of a TV series. The new series is tentatively called ‘Clarice’.
It will focus on Clarice Starling’s story that continues after the events that have been depicted in Silence of the Lambs. Clarice Starling is the character that was made famous in Silence of the Lambs, an earnest young FBI agent, freshly recruited into the force, who stands up to the formidable force that is Hannibal Lecter. The character was essayed by Jodie Foster then, and it even won her a Best Actress Academy Award.
The sequel series will be written and executive produced by Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet. Alex Kurtzman is the man behind the Star Trek series, the most recent one being Star Trek: Picard. The remaining cast and crew is yet to be finalised.
The series Clarice should be up for streaming by the end of the year. Hopefully, for the legions of Silence of the Lambs fans in India, we should get to watch it soon after.
