‘Life Is Beautiful’ is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video and also On Amazon MiniTV. The movie is available to watch in Korean, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
The movie tells the story of a young woman named Se-yeon who gets to know that she is terminally ill. She asks her husband a favour for her birthday. She wants to meet her childhood love. The husband is reluctant at first but finally gives in and the two start for an emotional journey. Does this sound similar? Well yes. Only a few days ago we had the wonderful movie ‘Three Of Us’ starring Shefali Shah, Swanand Kirkire and Jaydeep Ahlawat which had the same premise.
Estranged lovers having a once in a lifetime opportunity of sweet reconciliation is not a new theme. There have been many movies on this and ‘Three Of Us’ and ‘Life Is Beautiful’ seeming this much similar is not because it is copied but because human emotions are universal and transcending.
‘Life Is Beautiful’ is directed by Choi Kook-hee and stars actors like Yum Jung-ah, Ryu Seung-ryong, Park Se-wan and Ong Seong-wu. The screenplay is from Bae Se-yeong and the music and cinematography are handled by Kim Joon-seok and Back Yoon-seuk respectively.
