Globally renowned movies database entertainment portal IMDb houses a list/widget of the most anticipated new Indian movies and shows (both theatrical and OTT) that ascertains the real-time popularity of that title. This is determined by the number of pageviews these titles are generating on IMDb. Each title is then ranked by IMDb as per the aggregate number of pageviews.
The name of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Jawan’ is conspicuous by its absence in the latest IMDb most anticipated Indian titles list as the film was recently postponed.
The topmost spot on the IMDb list has been bagged by none other than Om Raut’s big-ticket mythological film ‘Adipurush’. It’s an adaptation of the Hindu epic Ramayana and features Prabhas (as Adipurush / Lord Ram), Saif Ali Khan (as Lankesh / Ravana), and Kriti Sanon (as Janaki / Goddess Sita).
On the second spot of the IMDb list is Mari Selvaraj’s Tamil drama movie ‘Maamannan’ starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vedivelu, Faadh Faasil and Keerthy Suresh in important roles.
And the third most anticipated Indian title on the IMDb list is Anurag Kashyap’s neo-noir thriller movie ‘Kennedy’ starring Rahul Bhat Sunny Leone. The film’s story is about an insomniac former cop who is looking for redemption.
On the OTT front, two Indian titles namely the Netflix film ‘Kathal: A Jackruit Mystery’ and Zee5’s ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ starring Manoj Bajpayee have made it to IMDb’s most anticipated titles list.
