The period crime thriller movie follows the story of an upright and righteous police driver Kumareson (played by Soori). After a deadly train bombing, the newly recruited police constable becomes a part of a mission called ‘Operation Ghosthunt’ to capture Perumal Vaathiyar (Vijay Sethupathi) – the leader of the revolutionary group.

Set against the backdrop of the 2018 Kerala floods, the film revolves around a group of people from different walks of life and how the devastating floods suddenly upturned their lives. It also focuses on the incredible efforts made by the people including the fishermen and the local people.

Based on Anurag Pathak’s best-selling book, the film narrates the incredible and inspirational story of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma (brilliantly played by Vikrant Massey) and IRS officer Shraddha Joshi (Medha Shankar). The story is set amidst the backdrop of grueling preparation by students who try to clear one of the world’s toughest exams: UPSC.
