Indian films are getting more and more popular on a global scale. The movies are gaining international recognition due to many factors. The first one is naturally the population factor. There is a significantly large population of Indians who use Netflix India and naturally they are most interested in watching Indian content itself.
So, what’s the new thing?
Well, 6 Indian films are on the list among 10 non-English movies that were streaming.
Jigra is now heading the list with a really excellent reception on Netflix. We are pretty sure Karan Johar would have wanted this kind of reception on the big screens but looks like Vasan Bala focused on the urbane audience while making Jigra.
Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video is a close second in this and the movie is indeed doing really well in this whole scenario.
The third Indian film and the fifth one on the list is our lovely blockbuster Lucky Bhaskar.
The next in the list is the blockbuster from Tamil Nadu called Amaran. It is a huge blockbuster and the situation on OTT is no better.
Then comes “Sikandar Ka Muqaddar” and “Thangalaan”.
To sum up, Indian films are gaining traction on Netflix India. There are multiple reasons and the most prominent one is, “good blockbuster content.”
