Indian Films Suffering From Short Life Disorder On Netflix!

It is a well-known fact that Indian films are omnipresent on the International charts Netflix. There is no week when we don’t find Indian films on the chart.

Regardless, what is the problem then? Isn’t it an ideal scenario that every week there are films that pump excitement in people?

We don’t think so. There is a massive problem that is persistent with movies on Netflix India. However, this issue is not observed with some extraordinary films like Gangubai Kathiawadi or RRR.

Usually, a movie no matter how big or buzzy doesn’t stay trending on the International charts of Netflix for more than three weeks. Now, why is that a problem?

If you see then American or Korean and sometimes even Indonesian films keep trending on Netflix for many weeks in a row, also the number of views earned by them is leaps and bounds better than that of an Indian film.

Now, if you see at the last week’s chart of Netflix then the highest position was grabbed by a Norwegian film. It was watched for more than 28,030,000 hours.

The highest any Indian film ever received was around 18,000,000 hours of views and it was RRR.

Needless to say, the Indian film industry is much bigger and more popular than Norwegian films can reach. So why do Indian films often disappoint in terms of views and the number of weeks it trends?

This problem of short life is almost like a disorder that Netflix must find and fix. Mission Majnu is not a great film per se but it fell flat in its third week itself.

Even after a direct release of a considerable star, the short-lived tragedy of Mission Majnu should be alarming.

One step towards solving the same could be creating better originals in India which Netflix is slowly taking baby steps at. We hope the average life expectancy of Indian films increases at Netflix.
