Netflix is adding another unscripted show to its collection- Indian Matchmaking. Sima Taparia located in India will play the matchmaker. ‘Matchmaker Sima Taparia guides clients in the USA and India in the arranged marriage process, offering an inside look at the custom in a modern era,’ is the description provided by Netflix.
The show’s host though located in India helps clients from Houston to Mumbai to find their partners. The single grown-ups also go on their first dates to meet their probable better halves in person. These individuals are trying their luck using traditional ways instead of modern online dating apps. You won’t have to wait for long as the show releases this summer, 16th July with eight episodes in season one.
This traditional arranged marriage Indian concept will now be witnessed globally. The Americans’ decision of participating in this show clearly reveals their interest in Indian customs and since Netflix is willing to launch this, it is safe to assume Netflix is fascinated by our very own arranged marriage concept too!
The experiences of people coming together from different cultures and countries will surely be unique. We can’t wait to watch this, can you?
