India’s tour of New Zealand will take place in November 2022. The upcoming tour consists of three T20Is and the same number of ODIs. Both teams will play the T20 series first. The entire tour will stream live and exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. The prominent streaming platform has bagged the official rights to stream all men’s and women’s cricket matches played in the land of Kiwis for Indian viewers.
The craze for India-New Zealand rivalry has skyrocketed in the last few years, especially after their unforgettable clash in one of the semifinals of the 2019 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, held in England & Wales. Prime Video has also announced the launch of a six-part documentary, Taking Guard: India’s Quest for Kiwi Glory. The documentary will display several archival match footage, graphics, and soundbites related to the fabled IND-NZ rivalry. Furthermore, we will witness cricketing legends like Ravi Shastri, Simon Doull, Ajit Agarkar, Danny Morrison, and many more sharing their experiences. One of the best cricket commentators of all time, Harsha Bhogle, will also lend his voice.
BCCI announced the Indian squad for the upcoming tour of New Zealand some time ago. Shikhar Dhawan will lead the team in the ODI series. On the other hand, Hardik Pandya has been chosen to lead India in the T20I series.
