Viacom 18 today made a strategic appointment at the highest level. It has appointed media and entertainment veteran Manjit Sachdev as its Head of Content for its leading Video On Demand (VOD) services, Voot and Voot Select. Manjit, in her new role, will lead the content team at Voot and will be responsible for driving the future original content strategy across the Advertising and Subscription businesses of Voot & Voot Select.
Manjit Sachdev comes with 18 years of experience in the M&E industry. She has previously led the content team at well-known brands such as ALTBalaji and Sony Entertainment. With Manjit at the helm of content, Viacom 18 hopes to strengthen its creative team, focus on building an immersive and inclusive content strategy, and work towards building further scale to the diverse content portfolio at its flagship brands, Voot and Voot Select.
Manjit will work in close association with Gourav Rakshit, COO, Viacom18 Digital Ventures.

Voot Select has established its place in the cluttered Indian OTT space with compelling shows such as The Gone Game, Asur, Illegal, The Raikar Case, and now, Crackdown. The appointment of Manjit Sachdev as the Head of Content will certainly help Voot Select in enhancing the quality and diversity of its content.
