Prime Video dropped the trailer of the new season of its first blockbuster show, ‘Inside Edge’, and it promises to be as thrilling as its preceding seasons. Fans will be glad to know that ‘Inside Edge Season 3’ premieres on Prime Video on 3rd December, 2021.
Like always, the trailer for Inside Edge Season 3 hints that the action will be as explosive off the field as it will be on it. Dedicated fans of the show know that the scheming and maneuvering in Inside Edge is infinitely more thrilling than the best edge-of-the-seat T20 matches that the narrative centres on. This season will see Vikrant Dhawan (Vivek Oberoi) facing off against Bhaisahab (Aamir Bashir), Zarina Malik (Richa Chadha) making a play for the Cricket Administrator’s post, Tanuj Virwani‘s Vayu batting for the Captain of the Indian T20 Cricket Team, and more.
All of this amidst a ploy to legalise betting on cricket matches to pull the rug from under big-money betting syndicates. The game, and the season definitely gets more interesting in Inside Edge Season 3. This season will see the narrative unfolding in 10 episodes.
‘Inside Edge’ is Amazon Prime‘s first scripted Indian original series, and has been appreciated by both critics and audiences ever since it first streamed on the OTT platform in 2017. It was nominated for the Emmy for Best Drama, at the International Emmy Awards.
The narrative gives viewers a behind the scenes look at the sinister underbelly of T20 cricket, complete with betting, match-fixing and more, while following the fortunes of a fictional T20 team called Mumbai Mavericks. Produced by Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani of Excel Entertainment, the series featured edge-of-the-seat thrill in the true sense of the term.
Created by Karan Anshuman and directed by Kanishk Varma, Inside Edge stars Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadha, Tanuj Virwani, Aamir Bashir, Sayani Gupta, Sapna Pabbi, Akshay Oberoi, Amit Sial, Sunny Hinduja, among others, in pivotal roles.
