Despite the unpredictability of the ongoing situation, a few titles have managed to create a huge buzz amongst the audience, and Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab is surely one of such projects. Vakeel Saab is a remake of the critically acclaimed Hindi film ‘Pink,’ which had some power-packed performers like Amitabh Bachchan, Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kulhari, among others.
While the story is based on ‘pink,’ one can expect a bit of a twist as Pawan Kalyan is a much more energetic and younger character in the film and also has a few action sequences. The cast of ‘Vakeel Saab’ include Prakash Raj, Shruti Hassan, Nivetha Thomas, Anjali, Ananya Nagalla, and power star Pawan Kalyan.
The theatrical rights of ‘Vakeel Saab’ have been offered to Panorama Studios and will be distributing it in the North Indian market. Panorama Studios has also produced films like ‘Section 375,’ ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2,’ ‘Drishyam,’ (Hindi Version) ‘Raid,’ and more.
Panorama Studios is founded by Kumar Mangat. Vakeel Saab can be that much-needed push to the traditional cinema industry as they have found it tough to get back on their feet ever since the pandemic has struck us. Films like Master were helping the industry get back on its feet as several of the other films already took the OTT route, but power star Pawan Kalyan has a huge fan following, and that should be an important factor in pulling the crowds towards the theatres despite the unpredictability in recent times.
The post-theatrical rights of the film have been sold to Amazon Prime Video, whereas the digital rights have gone to Zee Telugu. Vakeel Saab is set to release in theatres on 9th April.
