Seeing Thor playing Fortnite was definitely a good moment for fans; they cheered a lot. However, some viewers thought that it would be the end of this. Nonetheless, Invincible Season 2 was the center of pop for several reasons.
The world of entertainment is experiencing a major shift, especially in the realm of video game adaptations. The comic book movies need to watch out, as they will soon be competing with video game adaptations.
As both universes, like the Milky Way Galaxy and Andromeda, are moving forward for a clash, there’s an event that celebrates both worlds.
Invincible season 2 part 2 was already celebrated by the fans, achieving a 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is definitely astronomical. But it features a collaboration like never before. See, cross-promotion is becoming increasingly common in video games.
From skins of your favorite movies or upcoming movies to online merch to advertise certain content, it’s becoming a mundane practice. But this time, Invincible pulled off something of the opposite caliber.
A few months back, Fortnite featured some Invincible characters, and the fans enjoyed playing with them, so it was their turn to pay homage to the game.
When the makers were asked about the crossover, they said, “The collaboration with Epic Games for the Dragon’s Breath sniper rifle model was approved and seemed like a fun nod since he’s in the “Fortnite” game.”
“Maybe Angstrom sent him there, and everything in the game is canon, and he’s coming out with a gun. It was kind of an organic thing that happened because we were talking about Invincible being in the game at the same time as I was writing the episode.”
Now comes the question, will we see a trend being set up? Without any doubt, yes. The popularity of video games is unmatched, and as the video game industry grows with every passing day, we will be seeing more of this.
