Actor and comedian Jay Pharoah wants to appear in the live-action Invincible movie. He voiced Bulletproof in Prime Video’s Invincible Season 2. Now, he has his eyes set on the upcoming live-action film based on Robert Kirkman’s Invincible comic book series.
In a recent interview with ComicBook, Jay Pharoah campaigned openly about joining the live-action film’s cast. He also revealed that he had talked with the producers. Check out what he said below!
“Hey man, things have already been said. I’ve already brought a couple of suggestions up about playing a live-action version of him. Yeah, why not? Hey, if we do it, hey, I can do it. I definitely have the physique and I still got the top, the hair, so let’s do it.”
Pharoah is best known for voicing Bulletproof, who debuts in the first episode of Invincible Season 2. The superhero was introduced as the new member of the Guardians of the Globe faction in that episode. After that, the character has appeared many times in Season 2. However, he has a bigger and more important role in the comics than the Prime Video series.
Amazon is yet to reveal the cast of the forthcoming live-action Invincible movie. But it is safe to assume that none of the show’s actors will appear in the film, considering the characters’ ages. For instance, Mark Grayson, aka Invincible, is just an 18-year-old boy. And the actor who voices Mark, Steven Yeun, is 40. Also, we have J. K. Simmons, who is 69. We cannot expect him to physically portray a character like Omni-Man.
Updates about the live-action Invincible movie will come out soon. Stream Invincible Season 2 on Prime Video. Stay tuned for more updates.
